PEAK HEALTH & WELLNESS

DOWNTOWN

The Westmont Tractor & Equipment Co. building was constructed in 1938 in downtown Missoula. It has had numerous uses over the years including: Westmont Tractor & Equipment Co, temporary bank and its most recent use of a large print shop. In 2012 this historic building was completely renovated into a new health and fitness center in the core of downtown Missoula. Although the entire interior has been renovated, all of the significant historical features have been retained and enhanced, including, large bow trusses, large interior barn doors and the original exterior windows. The renovation involved creating a large cardio space, fitness and strength area, locker rooms, classrooms, lounge, retail area and a separate physical therapy suite. JCM Architecture also applied for, and received historic preservation tax credit for this rehabilitation through the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Parks Service. By resurrecting this old historic building, and bringing a dynamic function and use to the core of the city, it has had a significant impact to downtown Missoula.
